Elie Quial is a self-taught multimedia artist whose creative path is rooted in curiosity, movement, and reinvention. She grew up in Borongan City, a vibrant coastal city in the eastern Philippines, surrounded by lush forests, sun-soaked beaches, and vibrant coral gardens—natural landscapes that deeply shaped her love for organic forms, layered textures, and wild beauty.
With a background in fashion, hospitality, and the airline industry, Elie has lived and worked in Doha, Calgary, and Abu Dhabi—and has travelled extensively, gathering visual and emotional influences that echo throughout her work. She studied Fashion Design at the Art Institute of Vancouver, where her love for shape, rhythm, and fabric evolved into a broader, more expressive art practice.
Her work spans a range of mediums including mixed media on canvas, hand-painted textiles, and large-scale murals. She is drawn to tactile materials and experimental surfaces—blending paint, ink, paper, and fabric to create vibrant, layered compositions that feel both raw and intentional.
Elie has worked on several mural projects, most notably with the BGC Art Foundation, where she created a large-scale mural highlighting endangered species endemic to the Philippines—merging her love for nature with a deep sense of cultural and environmental storytelling.
She has participated in numerous group exhibitions. Elie continues to explore new surfaces, spaces, and stories—turning fabric, walls, and blank canvases into vivid worlds that reflect both the natural wonder she grew up with and the global journey she continues to walk. “Emergence of Eden” is her second solo show.
