“Abstract Revisited A Collective Return to Abstraction”

For its first abstract group exhibition for 2026, Abstract Revisited brings together practices that circle back, not to retrace steps, but to re-enter a language that continues to evolve with each encounter.  To revisit is to see again, but not as before. In this act of return, abstraction reveals itself as something alive and dynamic and ever shifting. 

Within the exhibition, each artist carries a distinct visual vocabulary that have become familiar and unmistakably their own. These are signatures shaped over time, honed through years of practice, yet never static nor confined by repetition. In this revisitation, what emerges are works that echo what has come before, while resisting the comfort of sameness.

This collective return is one of re-engagement: new styles by some artists and a reinterpretation of earlier series by others.  It invites the artists to confront and question what endures and what must change. This process allows them to be both guided by and momentarily separated from their own practice.  Within this space, boundaries soften, and the language of abstraction expands.  Viewers, in turn, are invited to engage with the works both emotionally and personally. Rather than offering fixed meanings, the exhibition encourages open interpretation where the works allow space for reflection, connection, and discovery.

In revisiting abstraction, the artists embrace openness, creating works that are exploratory, instinctive, and unrestrained. While the exhibition continues to highlight the uniqueness and distinct styles of each participating artist, it also reveals their willingness to evolve and seek new ways of expressing their ideas, emotions, and lived experiences. In this shared return, abstraction becomes not a conclusion, but an ongoing conversation. It is in this act of revisiting that the possibility of transformation continually emerges.
