Celebrating the success and triumph of the local abstract genre, Galerie Joaquin proudly presents “Abstract Reimagined” a visual gala of expressive innovation, featuring an expansive collection of today’s most notable local abstract artists. Focusing on the inner most ruminations of the artists’ perceptions of life, the works for this show are expressions and representations of the natural world by using approximate shapes, colors, and forms that offer a new and unique visual experience.

Developed in the context of diverse, overlapping sources and inspirations, the artists for this exhibition present a breadth of works that commemorate the natural world rendered masterfully in their own interpretations. From Isab Angeles’ intricately painted mountains, to Patrick Esmao’s brutalist inspired renditions of the urban jungle, each of the artists’ creative visual voice is highlighted through their own transcriptions of the modern world.

At its core, “Abstract Reimagined” is an exploration of the possibilities of the abstract genre in a sense that further amplifies the physicality of the choice of subject by emphasizing the attributes unique to it. The show is a reverence to the unseen and intangible, the profound and the sincere, immaculately immortalized through the entrancing allure of the arts.
