“Abstract Paradis” on view at Galerie Joaquin Rockwell

Show runs January 23 – February 4, 2022

Galerie Joaquin presents “Abstract Paradis”, a purposeful art exhibit wide-ranging in both scope and practice of more than 20 respected artists. The exhibition illustrates the ways in which visual artists routinely use similar pictorial conventions, stylistic approaches, and production techniques to explore and comment upon the physical world of body and mind in the most diverse ways imaginable.

The artists selected have all exhibited a sense of the extraordinary in their works thanks to the underlying creativity and uniqueness of the artists themselves, several of them allowing an undeniable sense of interpreting everyday realities into something exceptional while other artworks are influenced by certain philosophies as well as different modernist and contemporary styles; beautiful in its simplicity, and full of character with no two images or influences alike. At the same time, the works featured are unabashedly abstract in that they collectively explore the pure physicality of materials through the fundamental elements and principles of design: line, shape, form, color, contrast, pattern and texture.

“Abstract Paradis” attempts to suggest and explore the fundamental manifestations of each artist’s work and impart to the audience new insights extracted through the tactility of abstraction.

“Abstract Paradis” featuring works by National Artist Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Medal of Merit Awardee Juvenal Sanso, Aldrino Abes, Barbara Angeles, Karina Baluyut, Joy Calanasan, Norberto Carating, Marco Coching, Katrina Cuenca, Gary Custodio, Mario De Rivera, Jane Ebarle, Patrick Esmao, Fitz Herrera, Raul Isidro, Dr. Ronnie Lim, Ann Baldemor Moneda, Milmar Onal, Marge Organo, Perfecto Palero Jr., Jax Pasimio, Michael Pastorizo, Jay Ragma, Edgar Santiago, Aner Sebastian, Victor Secuya Camille Ver, Ralph Villaluz, and Edwin Wilwayco will be on view from January 23 – February 4, 2022 at Galerie Joaquin Rockwell.
