Exhibitions

The works for “Virtus: The Masters' Exhibition” is created by each virtuoso with an open eye for interpretation and an emphasis on longevity. Accompanying the inception of each piece is an unwavering checklist of conditions; with elements of enduring images, components and presentation.

Collectively, the exhibition offers an overview of the narratives that each artist navigated as part of their lived realities. It also reflects the complex and evergrowing iterations of their own artistic identity that continue to emerge from every piece of work they do. These creative gestures are at once expressions of memories, emotions, and beliefs. Each master has successfully brought their distinctive perspective to the exhibition through skillfull visuals and techniques.

“Virtus: The Masters' Exhibition” explores parallel processes of rejuvenation in human life and narrates how looking into the past affects the present and ultimately, the future.

“Virtus: The Masters' Exhibition”, with works by National Artists Federico Aguilar Alcuaz and Abdulmari Imao, Presidential Medal of Merit Awardee Juvenal Sanso, Angelito Antonio, Raul Isidro, Eduardo Castrillo, Norma Belleza, Mario Parial and Vic Bachoco, as well as distinguished second generation masters Michael Cacnio, Carlo Magno, Edwin Wilwayco, Dominic Rubio, Toym Imao, Nixxio Castrillo, Marge Organo and Faico, will be on view from October 2 - 11, 2020 at Galerie Joaquin Podium.
