For the past 15 years, Galerie Joaquin has been presenting some of the very best of Philippine modern and contemporary visual art-- and in the process allowing more and more people to find and immerse themselves in art's allure. One of the pioneer art galleries in the country, Galerie Joaquin has witnessed and contributed actively to the seismic shifts in the continued development of visual art, and has played a fundamental part in increasing the profile of Philippine art within the regional art scene. Galerie Joaquin represents and has hosted important exhibitions from renowned masters and stalwarts of Philippine Art, including National Artists Frederico Aguilar Alcuaz, Arturo Luz, and Abdulmari Imao, Presidential Medal of Merit winner Juvenal Sanso, and glasswork virtuoso Ramon Orlina. The gallery has also hosted Mario Parial, Eduardo Castrillo, Justin Nuyda, Dominic Rubio, Raul Isidro, Norberto Carating, and Michael Cacnio among others.

Arimado’s paintings actively call for the involvement of the viewer as he uses his medium for the transference of nostalgia and the recollection of celebrated Filipino events which forms his narrative. Arimado’s paintings of distinct local scenes and his subjects’ intrinsic smiles are as much an indication of his skills as a dedicated observer as they are of his skills as an artist.

In this light, the public is invited to celebrate Galerie Joaquin's 15 years in the art scene, with an anniversary exhibition entitled Year 15 at the North Court of The Power Plant Mall in Makati City. The limited-edition show runs from August 3-7, 2013 with an exhibit opening and gallery reception on Saturday, August 4 at 4 p.m. Year 15 at Powerplant Mall features the culmination of over a decade as one of the preeminent art galleries in the country, with works on display from artists such as Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Abdulmari Imao, Juvenal Sanso, Ramon Orlina, Dominic Rubio, Angelito Antonio, Michael Cacnio, Lydia Velasco, Norberto Carating, Eduardo Castrillo, Rudolf Gonzalaz, Nelson Castillo, Justin Nuyda, and Raul Isidro. With some of its artists having passed on, Galerie Joaquin considers this its 15th anniversary show to be timely and apt as it is the Galerie’s homage to the outstanding artists it has represented.
