“Our First Hero: A Tribute to Fathers”
Galerie Joaquin BGC
June 18 – July 8, 2026
Before a child encounters the wider world, it is often through a father or father figure that they first learn values and lessons in courage, responsibility, compassion, and perseverance. Fathers contribute not only to the physical and emotional security of their families but also to the personal development that helps shape character and identity. Their influence extends beyond the home, touching lives as mentors, teachers, leaders, and guides within their sphere of influence.
Fatherhood is a role that carries both responsibility and privilege. It is expressed through quiet sacrifices, words of encouragement, steadfast presence, and acts of unconditional love. Whether bound by blood or by circumstance, father figures leave enduring impressions that often resonate across generations.
Observed worldwide, Father’s Day is a celebration of these meaningful relationships and the profound impact fathers have on families and society. In recognition of this occasion, Galerie Joaquin BGC presents a special exhibition honoring the many faces of fatherhood and the men whose lives continue to inspire, nurture, and strengthen those around them.
Through diverse artistic expressions, the participating artists explore personal memories, shared experiences, and heartfelt tributes to fathers and father figures. The works reflect not only their roles within the family but also their individuality through their passions, interests, aspirations, and defining qualities that make them unique.
This exhibition is both a celebration and a gesture of gratitude. It recognizes fathers who have stood as pillars of strength during times of uncertainty, embraced challenges with resilience, and devoted themselves to the well-being of others. Through art, we honor their stories, acknowledge their sacrifices, and celebrate the lasting legacy of their love and guidance.
