E.Y.A. (Emerging Young Artists) at Galerie Raphael

Galerie Raphael aims to bring something fresh, youthful, and vibrant to the artscene as it unveils a group show entitled, "E.Y.A." (Emerging Young Artists) on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Galerie Raphael is located at Unit 2C-06 2nd Level, The Piazza, Serendra Mall, Fort Bonifacio Global City. For Inquiries, you may call 856-3034 or (0922) 803-1622.

The group show features the playful works of Amador Barquilla ("Population Pollution"), Aljo Pingol’s Mark Chagall inspired artworks which bring the subject to a Filipino setting ("Serenade"), Surrealists Delluba ("When I Grow Up"), Ordona ("Checkmate"), and Tresreyes’ surrealism combined with Pop Art as shown in "Solve."

Also among our roster is Jovan Benito ("Fruit Vendors") who, although hardly a new name in the art scene, is still at the very young age of 26, she has made it in various international art auctions in southeast Asia.

Galerie Raphael also brings diversity to the show by featuring Aldrino’s modern anthropological art ("Smoked Fish"), Armenius Aralar’s "Pasahero" which evokes a melancholy mood and Rapsing’s genre paintings which despite being cubist gives a unique flair by presenting his interpretation of the world in pastel colors ("Alaga").

The exhibit runs until April 13, 2009
