  ART FOR A CAUSE

The Rotary Club of Makati Bel-Air (RCMBA) launches its "Art for a Cause" painting exhibit on September 25, 2007 at Galerie Joaquin, one of the country's premiere art galleries.

Cutting the ribbon to offically open the exhibit shall be no less than Mrs. Vicky Magadia, the wife of Rotary International District 3830 Governor, Renato "Ato" Magadia. She will will be accompanied by her friends from the Inner Wheel Club.

Several well known world-class artists, such as Juvenal Sanso, Federico Alcuaz, Mario Parial, Dominic Rubio, Lydia Velasco among others, are graciously participating their works in this worthy cause.

In RCMBA's continued efforts to support its adopted Gawad Kalinga (GK) community in Welfareville to become a self-sustainable community through education, health and nutrition, proceeds of the exhibit will be for the benefit of the club's GK-Sibol projects, as well as to assist artists in need, as follows:

  • GK Sibol Literacy Program
  • GK Feeding Sibol Program
  • GK Water Filtering Self-Sustaining Project
  • GK Youth Development Program
  • GK Sibol Anti-TB Program
  • WELFAREVILLE Tsinelas Patrol Program
  • GIG DE PIO, artist and master portraitist - to help defray the costs of his recent hospitalization and on-going medical expenses

Download the "Art for a Cause" solicitation letter of RCMBA president, Rico Ocampo, for more details on the project's beneficiaries. Your generous support will go a long way in helping our less fortunate but deserving countrymen.
