The Galerie Joaquin Group of Galleries: For the past 9 years since its establishment, Galerie Joaquin has become an institution in the Philippine art scene. Established in 2002, Galerie Joaquin challenges the contemporary art setting in the Philippines by offering a wide spectrum of notable, interesting, and quality art pieces from the finest artists in the region, masters such as H.R. Ocampo, Jose Joya, Arturo Luz, Onib Olmedo, Juvenal Sanso, Tam Austria, Mario Parial, and Lydia Velasco among others, as well as young and upcoming artists who, through exceptional talent, have successfully evolved as mainstream artists of the gallery.
Set up in the rustic and historical setting of San Juan, Galerie Joaquin blends perfectly with the city’s deep sense of history and cultural heritage, with its boundless array of contemporary style and art themes thoughtfully conceived and selected to cater to the different needs of the market. The gallery takes its viewers, the art connoisseurs, enthusiasts, and new collectors, to experience the expanse of artistry and creative synergy reflected in its two-storey structure - a place where buyers can sit down, relax, view artworks, and carefully mull over their selected art pieces.
Expanding to 7 branches and sister galleries in the Philippines: Galerie Joaquin Podium, Galerie Francesca (Alabang and Megamall), Galerie Raphael (Piazza, Serendra, Fort Bonifacio), Galerie Stephanie (Libis, Quezon City), Galleria Nicolas (Glorietta IV in Makati). It has operations in Singapore (Galerie Joaquin Singapore) and has close tie-ups with galleries in Hong Kong, New York and Toronto. It is also worked closely with leading auction houses Sotheby’s and Christie’s in Hong Kong and Borobudur, Masterpiece and Larasati in Singapore. The gallery represents or carries artworks from some of the most esteemed artists in the country today namely: National Artists Arturo Luz, Jose Joya, H.R. Ocampo, Presidential Medal of Merit Awardees Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Juvenal Sanso and Nena Saguil, senior artists Mario Parial, Lydia Velasco, Dominic Rubio and Carlo Magno, and contemporary artists who have done well both locally and internationally such as Eufemio Rasco IV, Jaspher Penuliar, Vincent de Pio, Jerry Morada, Ailleen Lanuza, Edwin Tres Reyes, Karina Baluyut and Jovan Benito among others.
The Galerie is also working closely with the country’s leading if not only art publication: Contemporary Art Philippines.
